viva la evolucion!!! here at p.m.r. we have recently released THE WEDDING PRESENT A-Z (13 bands covering them), and Lars RO - leaves on fire - a double solo record from 2022 featuring 30 lo-fi demos, sketches, collaborations, and covers. some years back we released sfu-ma-to's 'the sound of one hand clapping' and co-released 'Despair?', the 2nd album by COME GATHER ROUND US. we also released A KEY IS A KEY's debut EP (Michael REXEN & Nicolai ELLSBERG's old band), and we have also released new(er) CDs by Daniel WYCKOFF & Lars RO. we're also in the snail's pace project of re-releasing our cassette back catalogue on CD-R. soon a huge chunk of our releases will FINALLY be available to more than you handful of hardcore tapedeckers!!!
sfu·ma·to lost veteran multi-instrumentalist Carl Christian TOFTE & bassist Andreas KOCH, but gained dynamo drummer Carl Ketaminhindu for some years. now he's gone too, so applications to be our new drummer are gratefully accepted! and honed bassists too!) Angelika, our peace comrade through thick & thin, has recently joined us on the violin, and Bee has joined as part-time percussionist. Lars is based in Europa again (where we opened for Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra & Tra-La-La Band in 2007!!!).
(thanks to everyone who came & shimmied to us on our brief 2008 North Amerikkkan tour, our previous one in 2006-07, and/or on our $wing $tate$ et al tour back in 2004-05! yes, the 2004 tour through U$ $wing $tate$, Escape de L.A. The Jerusalem Hug engulfed the 5 MILLION PEACE MARCH - 5 million of us marching into Jerusalem for peace - and happened succesfully nine times! it has unfortunately been put on hold indefinitely.). (the 5MPM initial 'seed march' was 1 July 2006, the second march was 14-15 July 2007, and as of 2008, we linked up with both The Jerusalem Hug & the Gathering of the Tribes for Earth Healing.
Lars did a week of the disappointing WORLD MARCH FOR PEACE AND NONVIOLENCE in late 2009 - tis a long story. alas... the Black African live debut of sfu·ma·to has been postponed.
thank you, each & every one of you who participated in or lent a hand to the counter-inaugural (in 2004), dcPEACEfest2005, the Occupy Movement, and or the anti-ecocide movement.
yes, as of 2001, the shit has hit the fan. what a horrible way for the decline of the Amerikkkan Empire to occur. please, all of us, let us pray that killing of civilians - be they Afghani, Palestinian, Iraqi, Pakistani, Libyan, Syrian, American, Iranian, European, Christian, Muslim, Jew, you name it - be minimized (if not eliminated entirely). 'all hail to the thief' is NOT the only option - PLEASE BOYCOTT THE MAINSTREAM U$ & I$RAELI ECONOMIES!!! buy products elsewhere & stop paying federal tax! STOP FUNDING THE WAR MACHINE! if not totally, then partially, while we bring the troops home now.
on 19 October 2001, we Danish peace activists started FredsVagten ved Christiansborg (the Danish Peace Watch) outside the Danish parliament. and we have been there EVERY DAY SINCE, going on 19 and a half years now. Hallelujah for conviction...
